Product Overview
Danfoss SB930 is a gerotor hydraulic motor integrated with a wet multi-disc brake (Spring-Applied, Hydraulically Released), belonging to Danfoss SB series brake product line. This product integrates a high-performance gerotor hydraulic motor with a spring-applied and hydraulically released multi-disc brake, and is specially designed for application scenarios requiring safe parking braking (Negative Brake).
SB930 can be used as an independent hydraulic brake module, or directly combined with an SAE A flange gerotor motor to form an integrated brake motor unit.
Its compact design, flexible installation options and high braking torque range make it an ideal integrated drive and braking solution for mobile equipment such as scissor aerial work platforms, snow sweepers, road rollers and small loaders.
Technical Features
1. Normally Closed Safety Design with Spring-Applied and Hydraulically Released Actuation
The SB930 operates on the principle of Spring-Applied, Hydraulically Released. Its normally closed safety brake design offers inherent advantages in the following scenarios:
- Automatic braking under zero system pressure: When the engine shuts down, the hydraulic pump stops, or the system pressure drops abnormally, the brake spring automatically compresses the friction plates and locks the motor output shaft, preventing accidental sliding of the equipment.
- Absolute safety of parking brake: After the equipment stops on a slope, the brake remains locked even when the engine is turned off, without the need for continuous oil supply.
- Emergency braking function: In emergency situations, emergency braking can be achieved by rapidly cutting off the hydraulic pressure for brake release.
- Anti-rolling protection: When the hydraulic system fails, the brake engages automatically to prevent the equipment from rolling downhill.
2. Wet Multiple-Disc Braking Technology
It adopts a wet multiple-disc brake design, with brake discs fully immersed in hydraulic oil:
- Excellent heat dissipation performance: Circulating hydraulic oil continuously removes heat generated during braking, effectively preventing high-temperature failure.
- Smooth braking without impact: The multi-disc structure provides even distribution of braking force, ensuring smooth start and stop operations.
- Wear resistance and long service life: Hydraulic oil lubricates and protects friction plates, significantly extending the service life of the braking system.
- Extremely low maintenance requirements: Brake discs are automatically lubricated, eliminating the need for separate brake oil replacement.
